Won tribunal for lwca was created by moonslice
Hi everybody
I recently won my benefits appeal for lwca thanks to this group.
It's been two weeks, nothing on my journal about payments etc.Ive read in other posts about giving the DWP a nudge, sending them a copy of the benefits decision
What is the email address I can use,or postal address.
Many thanks
Ian

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi moonslice
Welcome to the forum.
You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum.
It usually takes over 5 weeks before you will see a payment, the DWP could appeal the decision, it does not happen often but it could.
It depends where you live, you can write to them, their address will be on any correspondence you receive from them, but it will not speed up payment.
You usually find a lump sum paid into your bank, if it is a large lump sum you will get a phone call asking you how you want it paid, one lump sum or a few smaller lump sums.

Hi
What steps should I be taking to prepare for a possible appeal by the DWP.
Maybe legal representation?
Many thanks

Hi Moonslice
I would wait and see. The DWP doesn't often appeal, so I would try not to worry about it at this stage. If you haven't heard from them within the timeframe that Gary has mentioned - then I would chase it up.
