UC worse off was created by poppylouise32
End of May I had to move from Income Support to UC, I am now £191.77 worse off, goodness knows how much I will receive next month.
Filled in a UC50 form sent it recorded post so pleased I did, managed to speak to somebody on the Health Assessment Advisory Service who confirmed that they had received it on the 17th July and it was scanned and sent to department on the 22nd so I now have to wait for that dreaded letter to arrive.

Filled in a PIP form on June 2024 it was received, I only had to change the mobility I have tried for years to receive an award for mobility but keep failing so I have used as much information that I have gathered from this web site so I am hoping that this time I may be successful.

Everything is up in the air but I am hopeful in these worrying times.

Hi Poppy
Can I ask why you are worse off because being migrated to UC should have given you transitional protection. We have just done the same and other than a £7 drop in rent allowance per month we received the same.

I had a "forced" migration and lost half of my income too. I'd informed the DWP of my partners pension, heard nothing, no correspondence back. Then on my partners birthday we had a call from a council "compliance" officer who told me to claim UC immediately. That stopped my ESA, now I find myself in debt with the rent! No protection whatsoever! Keep going for your mobility - you'll need that to make up for what they've taken from you.

I do have the transitional protection yet I am getting less money with no explanation, I am going to have to call them.
