Long term pip user for mental illness of which I get standard care no mobility. But, now my mobility is on a daily basis affected by lymphodema and having weak muscles I haven't been able to leave my flat in 5 months nearly. I'm currently waiting a referral for a wheelchair.
Would I now qualify for mobility aspect of Pip as I can only walk 2 meters without muscle tremors and weakness and pain.
We can never say that someone will definitely qualify for PIP, but it sounds as if you should with such restricted mobility. You can ring the DWP and put in for a change of circumstances and they will send out a review form. Make sure that you read through the PIP Guide to PIP Claims and Reviews - so you understand the process and give a full picture of your mobility issues. Don't assume they even know what lymphedema is!
