Hi Have a 70+ mother in law who receives pip She has severe lymphedema and can hardly stand. She is unable to go upstairs in her home and has been living/sleeping on the sofa for a number of years now is she entitled to claim the higher rate of pip and carers assistance Also help with altering her home to be able to live in it properly Regards John
Hi John, home alterations for disability, whether you rent or own, are as far as I know subject to a means test and done by the local council. There is a possibility in some such circumstances of a council tax reduction. Hope you are able to organise this successfully, Denby
