PIP Changes question was created by Tuliptrees
An ignorant question I know, but, are the proposed PIP changes only directed at working age claimants, meaning those of state pension age are not included?

Hi Tuliptrees

It isn't an ignorant question at all. They are proposed changes and at the moment it appears they are talking about those of working age, but until any changes become law - nothing can be ruled out.

How might the new rules be applied if they pass into law? Would claimants need a fresh review to determine their eligibility or might the DWP just look at the existing records of the claimant which they have on file and arbitrarily apply any new rules to each claimant without a review. Or would that be difficult to do by law?

Hi Micksville

We simply don't know and trying to speculate is simply adding to people's stress. Any changes will appear in the B&W newsletter.

Thank you. However, it would be wrong to assume that for now it is just working age folks. I'm pretty sure someone in there will work out more ways to punish the pensioners.
