I receive pip, I would like to know when I claim my pension in August will I be entitled to anything else. I get carer's allowance for my dad and they will stop it then. The DWP are also reviewing my pip because it would finish soon, I sent the forms in for boxing day last year, they have said they have received them and they have sent a further text about 4 weeks ago saying they are still considering the claim. I think they are going to bring it right down to the wire, it's awful worrying if I'm going to lose everything. Thanks for reading Sheena
Hello Sheena, I am sorry to hear about the additional stress you are facing. The one good thing is that even though you are having to go through a review so close to state retirement age if you don't agree with their decision, you had can go down the whole MR and Appeal route regardless of which side of your birthday you are, because it started whilst you were still officially a youngster. The obvious benefit you might wish to explore is Pension Credit - that is a means tested benefit which you might be entitled to. Wishing you a great retirement Catherine
