DWP call - random PIP assessment was created by Raf78
I received a phone call from DWP (withheld number) a couple of days ago. The woman on the phone said she is calling to have some more information about my health condition. She asked me questions for about 10 minutes. Once we finished, I asked her if this was part of the assessment and she said yes. Also told me I might not need a full assessment, and should hear back in a few weeks.

Anybody else had a similar experience - a random call that turns out to be an assessment?

Also got this text message afterwards:

We've received the written report of your PIP assessment. We will write to you once we've made a decision on your PIP. As a guide you should hear from us within 8 weeks. You don't need to contact us unless any of the details you gave us have changed.

Hi Raf78

Other people have had this type of call. They make these calls when doing a paper-based assessment and need some clarification. That's why it was so short, and you didn't get any warning.

Had a quick call from the PIP admin just to prepare for telephone assessment, to remind me. It came through on a "withheld" number which I don't usually answer as they're often scam calls. Admin caller was pleasant - unusual for the service where they aren't always polite She told me I'd be called by an RGN but didn't know the nurses specialism., this leads me to think I'll end up at Tribunal. My usual GP hasn't been well himself so I'm worried he's ok - he's a decent human being - and that I don't know the rest of the GPs in the practice well enough for them to fill in a form the DWP sends. Downloaded my medical files to support AR1 so dreading a long drawn out process, grateful this site exists to help us through it.
