PIP Determination details was created by RHAN
Hi B&W & All
Can someone answer my question please?
I have a document that states the following :-
Eligibility Results.
Status : Eligibility Disallowed.
Determination details :
start date : 01/01/22 End Date : 31/01/27
Why is there an end date if its disallowed?.
Many thanks

Hi RobinGoch
This is not something I've seen before. Perhaps one of the other mods or a forum member may have an explanation.

We need more context.
What is the letter in connection with? Who sent it?

Hi B&W
Sorry for late reply, Im not well enough to get back here sooner.
I filled in on DWP website a subject access request for all PIP related documents.
I was supplied what is called a DPA RECORD PRINT. of PIP.
I will put starts on parts that’s confidential info but you get the gist of it hopefully.
one document it states the following :-
Eligibility Results
Ineligible
Application Ref : **********
Program : Personal Independence Payment
Claimant : RobinGoch(me)
Eligibility Period : 01/01/22-31/01/27
Status : Eligibility Disallowed
Determination Details
Start Date : 01/01/22. End Date : 31/01/27
Is it just standard procedure to just add an end date? Thats over a 5 yr span.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi RobinGoch
The last time I requested an SAR it came with lots of pages , quite a few pages were irrelevant but that what happens when you make a request.
A little while ago a client requested a SAR in regards to AA application and the information we received was very relevant, we went on to win the appeal using that information.
We cannot give you an answer as it depends from claimant to claimant and it depends on what you ask for, I can remenber once just asking for a SOR and received over 250 pages of stats, most of it I could not use and we shredded the material.

Thank you for getting back to me.
Could you tell me exactly what is a ‘Statement of reason's’ as I only had the brief explanation on the DM’s decision letter of why they decided I'm not eligible.
Is a statement of reasons requested separately to the standard decision letter then?
I found the decision letter , and mandatory decision letter quite basic -that didn’t really explain how they came to the conclusion of how Im not eligible, just kept saying they decided.
I will give you an example of what the DM’s said. :-
‘“You said you have difficulty planning and following journeys. I decided you can plan and follow the route of a journey unaided’”
‘“You said you have difficulty moving around. I decided you can stand and then move more that 200 meters’”
Thats it! Thats about as good as the decision letters get. Is that a statement of reasons?
Thank you in advance
