Hi Gary,

I have just read this post. In 20 months i will be 66, and reached pension age.

My PIP has another over 8 years to go before it runs out.
Does this mean when my pip runs out in 8 years time, will i get another invitation ( thats if PIP still exists) for a PIP renewal.

Or if PIP still exists would it mean i'd have to apply for attendance allowance. I hope PIP will still be in play, as with attendance allowance i will be losing out on quite a lot of money.

Would be nice if labour got in and the goal posts changed so, they gave us life awards with no more assessments. But i won't hold me breath.

Kind regards to all.

Hi Mr Fibro

I moved your post to its own space so your question and reply don't get muddled up with the other member's post and question.

In eight years' time, I assume you will get a light touch review. PIP will continue if it still exists, and no, you won't have to swap over to Attendance Allowance.

Hi Mr Fibro,
Just a reminder, in case this affects you- after state pension age you will be unable to increase any mobility award you have, or indeed gain one if one isn't already in payment. If this applies to you, ask for a supersession now, before you get to pension age.
Obviously if you don't have mobility problems, or dont have sufficient mobility problems there is no point in asking.

I hope this helps.
