Hello all,

Please can you tell me if you can get tax credits to pay for up to 70% of childcare costs if the child disabled and receives Middle rate care and lower rate mobility?

Also is that the same with Univeral Credit?

But neither parent receives any Disability benefit? Ie neither are classes as incapacitated? As I know if one partner receives certain disability benefits and one works then you are entitled to upto 70% of the child care costs but what if neither parent does But the child does receive DLA?

Thanks all

Hi neptune 1980

Your question is outside the remit of the forum.

A childcare costs amount is included in your award if you pay for certain types of childcare to stay in work, it has nothing to do with claiming DLA.

I would advise you to contact your local Welfare Rights Organisation; advicelocal.uk
