I am enquiring for some one advice on their pip appeal, they was receiving standard for living and mobility. Their pip was stopped when they was re assessed. Mandatory wasn't successful. They started appeal to tribunal after a while dwp contacted them after receiving the appeal and looked at evidence. Dwp offered them enhanced living but no mobility and wanted them to make on the spot decision. The claimant was abit confused and asked of its ok to have some time. Dwp said how much time, you can call tomorrow. Would it be in the claiments best interest to take the offer with no mobility help. As they was receiving standard mobility before? Or would it be better to let the appeal carry on with the tribunal?

Hi fizz12

We do come your situation on the forum quite regularly.

You do not have to accept the offer DWP make, you can make a counter offer. One member I can remember argued using the evidence they had sent in for a higher award which was agreed.

Quite often I come across claimants who will accept an offer if they don't have to attend a tribunal. I always say to them, it is their decision which ever way they decide, I won't take offence.

I have put in a submission which states what I believe they should be awarded but I cannot guarantee the Tribunal will agree, a word of warning, Tribunals will use google maps when looking at distance to your local shop.
