PIP Review was created by Claire53
I was awarded PIP until july 2024, yes i know they can review whenever they please. I called to get extension as date to be returned was unrealistic for me to complete , this was due back by 9th September 2023, they granted me until 28th September . When i asked if they could clarify when my award ended they confirmed it was July 2024, and she said we are asking people to get them in early as we have a backlog from COVID !!! so why do they need more not to have time too deal with? sadly this still is not going to be long enough as i have finally managed to have a face to face appointment with DR just today 25th September and my Review needs to be returned by 28th September!!! i need to go for X rays tomorrow 25thSeptember also had bloods done today, The form has no number just says PIP 1043 . Nothing has changed . except my Psoriatic Arthritis as i never got the results from X-Rays i had c2018... also test i had in 2018 for COPD, these results seem to have gone missing. So i have 2 questions what the hell is this form has anyone else received the same ? and would i get another extension as i will need another one to have the results from above ordered by GP today. My Mental Health Condition remains same and they are aware of this and set out the long term outlook for me via letter at my last appeal from my then Counsellor /Therapist. who has since past away. I am so tired of having fight and to give continued information about my Mental Health condition that will never improve. Psoriatic Arthritis has and will continue to deteriorate so frustrated with it all. I know of many people in my area who were all sent out a PIP review form, at roughly similar time as mine. Thank You in advance for any advice x

Hi Claire53
If you haven't contacted them already, you need to call them ASAP and ask for another extension. I expect them to grant it to you, but they don't have to.
They won't just grant you an extension because you're waiting on test results - especially as they are ones that you have just had. If necessary, mention on the form that you have had them and say you will pass on the results when you receive them. You can always send the DWP an additional letter after you have returned the form - (if that is necessary). They won't hold up the process for test results.
The form you've been sent is the normal review form.
Have a look at the Guide to PIP claims and reviews. You don't have to write reams, but it helps your case if you give an update - even if it is to say that things remain the same. You can find the information from page 128
