Hello This is a new claim for my partner for PIP
He has just got a face to face appt through on a text message ....can we change to phone only, my partner has multiple health issues and terminal cancer. Also had a triple by pass and gets stressed very easily which leads him to have chest pain. Do I just get him to phone up and ask if they can do a phone only, I know he will not cope at all.

Several members this year have reported asking for their assessment to be changed from face-to-face to telephone and they have all been given the change. Get your partner to ask. If they refuse, he can say that he is going to appeal (which they have to allow) and then put in a second request to change it.

I was surprised they were going to do a face to face in the first place as he has terminal cancer, although no time scale has been given for any passing away as such, so I can not send in a special form. I sent in lots of evidence of how all his illnesses effect his daily life and it has impacted him. I was hoping for paper based so he was not stressed out and has another heart attack
