DWP PIP Text Message was created by Nessnoss
Hi I have just received at text message from DWP stating:

[About your PIP review. The health professional has sent us their report.
We will make a decision on your PIP, but it may take 6 weeks before you hear from us.
You will continue to get PIP while your award is being reviewed.
You only need to contact us if your circumstances change.]

I am assuming this means it was a paper assessment as I haven’t been asked to attend an assessments.

So my question is can I call the DWP and ask for a copy of the paper assessment? I know the text message states it may take 6 weeks to hear from them but I’m just a bit anxious that they may have changed my entitlement in which case I would like to know in case I need to ask for a mandatory consideration?

Hi Nessnoss,

It certainly sounds by that that a decision has been made solely by paper.

I believe you can call the PIP enquiry line a week after your assessment on 0800 121 4433 ( you should be able to go via your text message date ) and its called a PA4 form if I'm not mistaken.

Regards, Chris.

Hi, for a paper assessment it is a PA3 [not 4] but some claimants have been told a report was not written for their paper assessment.
Hope this helps,
Denby
