I have returned my ESA50 form last week, does anyone know how long the average time (in scotland) for assessments to take place after sending the form?
I will be away from home for a week at the end of November and haven't put this on the form as didn't think it would take that long, but have now read it can be over three months? Should I call and inform them now incase they schedule it for that specific week (my luck) Or just wait until closer to the time?
The DWP are prioritising new claims but I don't think that we have any reliable statistics for any particular region on timescales.
I would include the information on the form, it may make no difference in them actually booking an appointment but you will be able to say "I told you" so any moving of the assessment is not classed as being your fault.
