ESA and school meals was created by Countrybumpkin

I have just applied for ESA and my children's free school meal allowance has stopped? I've lost my working tax credit due to ssp ending so receiving the ESA payment has actually made me worse off financially?
Has anyone else had this?

It is not the ESA going into payment that has lost you the free school meals but rather the loss of your Tax Credits.

Have you looked at whether you can claim Universal Credit as this should reinstate the free meals?
