When you are awarded pip can you apply for pension credit I know savings/occupational pensions etc come into etc it but I'm of the sp age and the calculator suggests I could receive a weekly amount could be paid. Just bamboozled by the guarantee credit and savings credit info.
PIP and Pension Credit are separate benefits, there is no specific dependency from one to the other.
A PC award is determined, in simple terms, by calculating the claimant's potential PC payment and then deducting relevant income, if there is any PC still left to be paid then an award can be made.
A qualifying PIP award can increase the amount of PC potentially payable making an award more likely.
