Rather Quick Pip Renewal Decision? was created by MissVeeBee
Hello,
My son has been receiving PIP for the last couple of years.
He had a video consultation last Friday, it was sent to the DWP within the hour and he had a text on Friday to say decision has been made and letter is in the post. So all within a week.
Is this a good sign, bad sign or hard to tell?
Not sure what to think. Will report back once we have the letter

Hi Miss VeeBee
That is very quick - but I wouldn't want to speculate what it means. Your son can ring for a copy of the assessment report 48 hours after it took place. It's called a PA4. That will give you an idea of what the decision letter might say in case it doesn't come as quickly as they've said.

Will do thanks.
Someone said to hit options 1, 2, 6 on the phone system as if the automated service tells you when the next payment is being made that's a good indicator if still have the award or not but wondering how reliable that is especially as its only been a few days?
Has there been any feedback before about doing this and if there's any truth in it?
I can't imagine when they made the decision on Friday it suddenly would drop off the automated payment system that quick.
Also, just to check, he was originally awarded till October this year but I'm guessing this review if unsuccessful they wouldn't still pay out till October?
Thanks
