Voluntarily Coming Off TC to save ESA claim was created by CHUNKY
My understanding is that in around 2024 people will be migrated over to UC from ESA. conts.
I don't qualify for UC at present due to my wife working full time and savings.
Is it a good idea to come off TC voluntarily so I won't be hounded by the UC team to move over and then nullify my claim?
Thanks

Claimants with an ESA Contribution claim only will not be migrated to UC, it is only means-tested ESA that will be moved.
As to your TCs, I'm afraid this is not something we can offer advice on.

I thought the ESA to UC was postponed until 2026

Households receiving Tax Credits are being migrated in the initial stage, this would include those also receiving ESA(IR).

I received the universal credit migratory leaflet from HMRC.
How long would it take to get the UC forms?
Thanks

Hi
I have now received my migratory letter inviting me to claim UC online.
So far to date I have not been able to get an answer to my initial questions(s) which is as follows:
I get ESA Cont (support group) PIP and child tax credits.
If I don't put in a claim for UC will I still retain my ESA conts?
Thanks for reading this and I appreciate everyone is busy but I would appreciate a simple answer to my question?
