My sister has recently been told that she has been awarded the enhanced rate for both parts of PIP. We wouldn’t have achieved it without this website, so thank you Gordon once again.
As she is now severely disabled and has to use a mobility scooter, it’s looking likely that she will move in permanently with myself at some point. She is in hospital at the moment.
I realise I will lose my Council tax benefit, but how would I be fixed re my IR ESA? She only receives PIP, no IR benefits. She does have some savings and owns half of a house with her husband.
I would put your information into one of the online benefit calculators to see how your current benefits might be impacted by your sister moving in, I would not expect your ESA to be effected as she will not be considered a member of your household and her PIP award should mean that none of the Premiums that you receive (if any), will be effected.
