I have been on pip at the basic amount but now that I have been placed in the support group for ESA do I ring pip and ask for a review/assessment or could I tell them I have been put into support group and they up my pip? Afraid to do anything in case they stop my money.

Any advice?

Being placed in the Support Group for ESA does not mean that you will qualify for a higher award of PIP, they have very different criteria!

You should look at your current award for PIP to see whether you would reasonably score the extra points that you would need for a higher award. If you feel that you can show that you meet the criteria, then you can should contact the DWP in writing asking to be reassessed.

Be aware that reporting a change would result in a full reassessment of your claim, new claim form and almost certainly a face to face assessment.
