Mandatory reconsideration was created by lou.q
After face to face assessment I scored 0 for both care and mobility. Submitted a letter asking for mandatory reconsideration. Brown envelope just arrived and gone from 0 to 12 points for enhanced mobility. Care has stayed at 0 but over the moon I got the mobility back. Really thought I would have to go to tribunal but no. It was only last week I returned my mobility car thinking I was going to tribunal. I had to return it by 18th April. If I had known I was getting the enhanced mobility I could have kept it and saved me going and getting one myself. Many thanks for all the information you put on your site it has helped alot

Well done on getting enhanced mobility through your MR. I posted a MR 3 weeks ago and am just waiting on the decision. Do you mind me asking how long you waited and also your illness? I also was awarded points after face to face.

Thanks for your time.

So glad you won, but how annoying for you with all the hassle with the car, They should wait for all avenues to be exhausted before handing back. Enjoy xx

I waited about 3 weeks. I spent a full weekend preparing all the paperwork challenging it which was about 8 pages long. Then when I got the medical assessment report I then challenged that and that was pages long again. plus my assessor had a migraine so I built my case around that. I have chronic fatigue syndrome and in last 2 years diagnosed with COPD. the assessor said I could walk 200 metres - do not no where she got that from as I only walked a few feet to the room from waiting room. I also put in my letter I think she just plucked a figure out of thin air - total guesswork. good luck and let me no your outcome.

Thanks Lou I will let you know my outcome. That's been over 3 weeks I have been waiting so fingers crossed it's this week so I know one way or another. I also sent a lengthy MR, 10 pages long. Congrats again on your good luck all that effort paid off.
