We won our Tribunal today :) Higher Rate Living 15 points from 6 , thanks for all the advice on the forum and Guides .
My question now is , we are on ESA and our legal rep said we can claim Carers Allowance now as well , how much would we get and how much do the dwp take off your Esa for your carers allowence , do you get paid PIP weekly or Monthly , sorry to be a pain ,
Thanks :)

Hi

Congratulations!! Great news.
Your PIP will be paid 4 weekly same as DLA.
Carers is £62.10 a week. I don't think it affects your ESA but does other benefits that are means tested.

Hi foss 27
Thanks for that , I claim for me and my patner as a couple ESA and get ctc for our daughter , after winning the appeal they said the pip will be backdated to may last year :) If my partner claims carers allowance for me when would she be able to claim from ? Will that be backdated to my original PIP claim date as well , as for the time on esa we just had a post work program interview

Hi
As long as carers is claimed within three months of the award it should be back dated.
