WRAG to SG appeal success

the 16 day wait for a decision after my tribunal hearing seemed endless, but the relief of getting a decision in my favour was huge

the advice and information i got here really helped me feel more confident that i had done the best i could to put my effectively

i have ME and have been receiving incapacity benefit since about 1999 - i had kept digital and paper copies of my original application and ESA50 (completed 2 years before the medical assessment!) - this was really useful as it meant i could refer to it easily as well as cut & paste sections for my tribunal evidence

doing the paperwork was hard and depressingly repetitive but it helped me get the facts and issues straight in my mind

attending the tribunal was grim and draining, even though the clerk was really helpful and reassuring - the panel members were cool and professional, not giving any hint of which way they might go with the decision - but the time and effort i put into preparing my evidence made me feel that i had done the best i could

next i will be getting ready for the inevitable DLA to PIP transfer, so i'm still lurking around here learning what i can and keeping up to date

It usually takes The DWP 5-8 weeks to action a Tribunal decision, the time taken can depend on the amount of back payments owed.

You could give DWP 5 weeks or so, then post them a copy of The Tribunal Decision notice as a reminder.

Hopefully they will sort it out ASAP !

there are no back payments in my case as i have been receiving benefit all along, thank goodness - but i know this is not the case for everyone so thanks for the reminder

wow , i wasn't expecting that....... i clearly haven't been reading the small print .... another reason to celebrate, bring on more cake
