Hi Jules ..congratulations first of all 8))....can you tell me did they send you a letter to say they had received the renewal or text?
The reason I am asking is they sent me a text and said it could take up to 8 weeks...I hope I get word soon the waiting game is dreadful 8(

Yes I was shocked by how quick it was! I thought I'd have to wait for months! I got the letter saying they had received my claim etc at the same time as the award letter! I'm really relieved.
Two questions though; it says I will receive my payments ''with my pension credits''.. I don't get 'pension credits' so I don't know what that means?
Also, it says my award will start on and including the 23rd, does that mean I will be paid on the 23rd or will it be four weeks after...in light that they pay in arrears? it doesn't actually say when I will be paid.
Thanks so much guys

I am guessing that this is a standard letter that is not appropriate to your circumstances, Pension Credit is a payment to claimants of pension age or approaching it, similar to Income Support, where PC is in payment it is often merged with DLA payments. As it was mentioned on the letter it would probably worth you checking with the DLA unit that it is an error.
As this was a renewal I would not expect there to be any interruption to your DLA payments and your next payment date should be four weeks after the last.
