If you are placed in the LCW group after the work capability assessment, you will be expected to improve your chances of getting work in the future, taking into account the limitations your health condition puts upon you.

This could include attending a skills assessment, improving your personal presentation skills, undertaking work experience or attending a work placement.  The specific tasks you are asked to do will depend not only on your circumstances but also on the types of work preparation activities available in your area.

If you are found fit for work, you can be asked to attend the Restart Scheme, a form of work preparation. If you have a disability or health problem, then you should only be referred to Restart if its reasonable for you to participate.  If you are referred to Restart, participation is mandatory, and you can be sanctioned if you do not participate.
