Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I struggle with all daily tasks due to fatigue and pain. I work part-time but it is difficult to maintain work and any sort of life. I just exist really. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I would lose over £400 a month. I also worry I would lose my blue badge with enables me to get to work each day as well as for shopping etc. I work part time at the moment and the money I get from PIP helps make up less than half of the shortfall if I worked full time. If my PIP is taken away I would have to work full time to be able to afford to live and that would make me more unwell and ultimately, would probably end up with me not being able to work at all as a result. PIP allows me to work and it is something I would like to be able to continue doing, but I can only manage this part time- not full time. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I do work as noted above. |
Anything else to tell us: PIP allows me to work at part-time hours and my blue badge allows me to get to work each day and park at work for free. If I lost my PIP and Blue Badge I would need to increase my hours to full-time to be able to manage financially, and my health will not allow me to work full time, so I would become more unwell and end up not being able to work at all. Ironically, by me losing PIP it would have the exact opposite result that the government want and would put me out of work rather than supporting me to work. It is a completely unfair change and would have a huge impact on my life, and the life of so many disabled people. It is cruel and inhumane and hitting the people who need support most and in many cases, do not have the energy or strength to fight it. |
