Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I struggle with many tasks of everyday living due to fatigue, pain, dizzyness and shortness of breath. Some days are better than others but I cannot stand or walk for long at all. I need a lot of help with cooking and housework and some days struggle to cook something simple even in a microwave. I can no longer drive for more than about 10 mins without becoming sleepy. I need my husband to help me out of the shower as I slip very easily and fall. My husband can only work part time as he has to be around to do everything I can’t do and cook and drive me places. I use a mobility scooter to mobilise. I am lucky that my employer lets me work part time from home but I really struggle even to do this and I often need time off sick so I’m not sure how long I will manage to keep my job.
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: Around £440 every 4 weeks.
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I do work minimal hours from home but my fatigue is so profound I would not be able to manage any more hours.
Anything else to tell us: I feel very let down by this government. I became chronically ill due to contracting COVID whilst I was working as a nurse. There is no suppport for health care workers who are now chronically ill from catching COVID at work. PIP is the only support I have and now this is going to be taken from me. I am not sure how I will manage financially especially if I loose my job due to my ill health.
