Nickname: Rain |
Age: 58 |
Main health condition: Physical health |
Main conditions that affect daily living: Arthritis |
Rate of PIP daily living component: Standard |
4 point descriptor score: No |
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: Not likely at all as I should already score it but never have |
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Washing, dressing, cooking, walking, taking medication |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I would lose daily living so approx £300 for that and if I lose lcwra as well that will be £423.00, so £723.00 a month. I will fall in to absolute poverty, my health will worsen and I expect I'll die a lot sooner... Which is probably the point. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I need to sleep a lot during the day. I don't know from one day to the next what my pain will be like and if I try to do anything, I'm worse the next day. My work coach would have no understanding of this and I highly doubt any compassion. I really couldn't work, no employer would accept the odd hour of availability. |
Anything else to tell us: This whole thing has caused me a great deal of stress and worry and I don't typically worry. My adult children are both disabled or have additional needs and live with me, plus I try to help my bed bound mother when I can. We won't survive losing any money... Our quality of life now is not great but at least we can eat regularly. |
