Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I cannot cook at all, I have a carer to help me wash and make me food for when my partner/children are at work. I have very limited energy and have to take naps in the day, I cannot do the housework I used to do, I struggle badly with fatigue and get easily confused when tired and my words don’t work. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I would lose my standard care component and only keep my enhanced mobility component so it would half my award meaning I would not have money for things like upkeep on my stair lift, and the other things I have to buy to make my life bareable. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I don’t see how I would be able to work, I use a powerchair so public transport is pretty much impossible, plus every time I leave the house I need several days of rest to recover, I don’t think any one would ever employ me as I would be unreliable due to fluctuating fatigue and it would make my health worse |
