Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Struggle with everything due to overall lack of mobility and overwhelming fatigue. However as my condition is dynamic, somewhat ‘invisible’ and not as ‘black and white’ as others, I struggle to convince people I require support. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: money worries would be massively increased and I would feel so trapped, with less ability to take care of or enjoy myself due to financial constraints and further isolated from friends and family I could not afford to visit. I would feel even more trapped, unable to access the community, left to rot with nothing to do but stay still and suffer. It would have a significantly detrimental impact on my wellbeing. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: Previously sought a work coach but told the support would be limited to a year- since I have another ~45 years left of working age I could not afford to waste this and deferred while I applied for a car, though since then I have been told I’d only be offered a motability lease if decided to have a child, and have also developed worsening symptoms. Currently signed up as a volunteer with 3 companies but unable to actually do any volunteering as I am struggling just to survive and am not eligible for a car, carer or other support for volunteer roles. Since my recent decline I believe a job of any kind would be so detrimental to my health and well-being it would not be financially viable. |
