Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Memory, losing things, forgetting things, basic tasks, motivation, communicating with others, leaving the house some days. Housework, admin, socialising And on flare up days, it's moving about, from room to room, going anywhere, doing most things. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I'd not only lose my PIP but I'm pretty sure that I'd lose my LCWRA too. Hundreds per month. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: Without a formal diagnosis of ADHD and Autism, this would lose me my right to saying "I'm legally disabled". This will affect any jobs that I get in future as I wouldn't be able to ask for workplace adaptations. This would also affect any studying that I could do as I wouldn't be entitled to a formal Learning Support Plan..because I have no evidence of such disabilities. Except my medical records - which is full of mental health conditions, many that were misdiagnosed (such as bipolar and EUPD- Neither of which I actually have) |
Anything else to tell us: The PIP criteria is already challenging for someone like myself with neurodivergent. It is a system already set up to fail those with similar conditions or mental illness. Altering it in such a way will lead to more strain on our MH Services, more strain on our NHS in general, more people OUT of work as they're not receiving the financial support that helps them manage their conditions and for treatment that they require. People will die. This is inhumane. |
