Nickname: Will |
Age: 41 |
Main health condition: Both physical and mental health |
Main conditions that affect daily living: Bipolar 1, ulcerative colitis. |
Rate of PIP daily living component: Enhanced |
4 point descriptor score: No |
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: Zero |
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I struggle with everything |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I would go from enhanced rate PIP to no PIP then lose LCW, meaning I would lose 46.3% of my income. From £1834 down to £984. A reduction of £850 per month. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: Panic attacks, massive problems with anxiety, depression, huge problems with my ulcerative colitis- toilet issues. I do not believe I could sustain working, would have to quit very quickly. Couldn't work full time, would have massive problems trying to work part time. |
Anything else to tell us: This whole thing is a nightmare for all of us. I was hospitalised when I was 17- 24 years with bipolar 1 about 20 years with ulcerative colitis. It has only got harder and harder to get benefits and every single review gets harder with an arbitrary result. |
