| Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Total exhaustion, breathless, anxious and depressed. Today, after 9 hours sleep last night, I am exhausted, finding hard to motivate myself and have been back to sleep for another hour. I didn’t want to get up then. My joints ache and everything is a difficult. My partner helps me as much as she can, having her own health issues. The constancy of feeling this way, leads into depression. |
| Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: A minimum of £420 a month, though Pension Credit would be taken away too. I can’t think about it, as this just makes me more anxious and depressed. |
| Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: Thankfully I’m retired, but if I had to go back to work, I know my condition would worsen. The stress of being required to attend courses, work coaching, etc., is a frightening prospect. I ask myself, what employer would want someone who never knows if he’ll be fit for working and that most days, isn’t? |
| Anything else to tell us: It’s the usual government response, to pay for armament by hitting the poorest. I worked all my life virtually and damned hard, just to keep my head above water. I worked as long as I could with chronic fatigue. I only recently claimed PIP. Our taxes are paid to keep the rich richer and they have the audacity to cut benefits and push up the retirement age. We pay for their benefits, huge pensions, so they can retire early. Prices rise, bills go up, and why, to pay dividends to share holders, when like the water situation, the system has fallen to rack and ruin. I could say more….. |
