Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Every day is a struggle, I struggle to cook food due to having no sense of smell, therefore I don’t know if food has gone off. I struggle finding the motivation to eat. I struggle to get dressed, have a shower. I struggle with socialising with people. I struggle with my mobility. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I will loose my enhanced pip, my LWRCA on UC and my husband will loose his carers element and we will be benefit capped. This amounts to £1600 per month. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I currently only work 10 hours a week, I physically cannot do anymore hours even with support from a work coach. One of the main symptoms of my chronic illnesses is fatigue, if I was forced to work more hours then I would end up having to go on the sick long term and therefore wouldn’t have a job. |
Anything else to tell us: If these new changes come in place, then this would have a detrimental effect on my family. My husband would have to go back to work, which means there would be no one to care for me. I would then have to go into residential care, which is not something I ever thought I would need to do at the age of 46. |
