Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I struggle with everything, from getting up, dressing myself, washing, eating as I can’t cook a meal. I’m in pain constantly and sleep so much. I no longer socialise as it takes too much effort |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: If I get a reduced award, I would not be able to live in my house, and afford food and bills. I can only just maintain my independence at the moment. This would have a huge impact on my health, both physical and mental. It’s hard enough not been able to work at my age when I’ve once held management positions at HMRC and then worked in the NHS. These illnesses are debilitating and take so much away from you |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I never know until I wake up what sort of day it’s going to be, I could be in so much pain, I don’t get dressed, don’t eat. Plus any sort of physical exertion has an after effect. I’ve tried working part time jobs and was unsustainable and was making me more ill. |
