Nickname: Cherry ice cream |
Age: 55 |
Main health condition: Both physical and mental health |
Main conditions that affect daily living: Post Covid syndrome, chronic pain, depression/anxiety |
Rate of PIP daily living component: Standard |
4 point descriptor score: No |
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: Not likely, I only scored 3’s and 2’s |
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I’m very unsteady on my feet, due to severe dizziness., I have had a few falls .I can’t shower alone. I have cut my fingers with knives, due to tremors and dizziness. I can’t take anti depressants because of my pain medications already make me fall susceptible. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: All of my income except for the mobility element. About £73.00 worse off from PIP. I am currently in the process of new style ESA assessment period.for LCWRA, so £90 on that. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I am unable to work at my current job, it will only be held open for another 4 months |
Anything else to tell us: The benefits system is a nightmare to navigate, and very difficult to actually be awarded PIP. I’m sure the government could find other ways of clawing back money without victimising those least able to cope. |
