Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: My self confidence is very low. I struggle to socialise. I get hypervigelent. I get very depressed for no apparent reason which leaves me fatigued so that I don’t have energy to do anything. When I’m anxious I worry about everything and anything and I think something terrible is going to happen to me or my wife. At times in my life I have felt so sad that I have considered suicide. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I would lose about £3600 a year. I rely on this money for food and heating. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I was medically retired from work after 34 years working for a local authority due to my anxiety and depression. I’m 62 now. I haven’t worked for 5 years. We live in an age discrimative society. I could not cope with the day to day pressure of returning to work |
Anything else to tell us: Up until 5 years ago I have worked since leaving school at 16. |
