Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I struggle with exhaustion, and can not cook unaided as I have automatic behaviour, which means I leave the taps running, cut myself, burn myself, leave appliances on. I would not receive 4 points as I can apparently use a microwave (I can’t I’ve had more burns from microwave than cooker) I can’t buy microwave food as I’m coeliac. I need someone with me when I shower in case of cataplexy attacks. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I only have PIP I don’t claim anything else. I anticipate loosing 75.00 a week. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I can not work, I have multiple health issues, can no longer drive and can not go out unaccompanied. I can’t use public transport safely I fall asleep. I’m having hypos every day and need to eat every 2 hours. The hypos make the narcolepsy worse. It’s constant exhaustion. |
Anything else to tell us: I worked full time and was a Labour Councillor. My disabilities got considerably worse after Covid. I have numerous autoimmune diseases. All of these were made worse by Covid! I can not believe I joined as a 13 year old would go this to the most vulnerable! |
