Submission ID: 1163795 |

Nickname: UKDJ |
Age: 58 |
Main health condition: Physical health |
Main conditions that affect daily living: Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus |
Rate of PIP daily living component: Standard |
4 point descriptor score: No |
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: Unlikely |
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Meal preparation - all meals are 'Oven-ready', minimal preparation Forgetting meds - short-term memory Washing and bathing/personal hygiene Toilet needs (urinary incontinence) Mixing with others - extreme social anxiety |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: No idea! If I lost 'Daily living' component that's £73.90/week (2025-6) |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I used to work, until the previous government deemed my job not worthy of funding (a CIC with L.A. funding). Feelings of no self-worth, fed by the above experience, along with social anxiety would make work unbearable. |
