Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Preparing food Travelling Dressing Working Cleaning Bathing |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: All my pip allowance (about £290 every 4 weeks) |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I work part time and this already exhausts me. I can barely function by the end of the day. The thought of having to take on even more hours is terrifying - I can't really manage the hours that I'm already doing. Without pip, I would not manage financially, I would lose my house, I don't know what would become of me. |
Anything else to tell us: I have worked since I was 16 years old, and I STILL work. I contribute tax and NI like everyone else. Disabled people are not scroungers! We pay into the system and we need to be treated with dignity and respect. I was not disabled until about 5 years ago. Remember, disability can happen to anyone, so the system we are paying into needs to support people who become disabled. The new rules around pip are literally going to kill people. Pip is the difference between being homed and homeless for so many of us. The new rules are cruel and unnecessary. Disabled people are not the biggest drain on our society - billionaires are! Go after them instead of the most vulnerable citizens. |
