Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I cannot function like a healthy person day-to-day. Just doing one gentle daily living activity can be like how it feels to have flu, to be weak and wiped out with no strength and not able to think or talk, blinding headache & pain. I can't cook or prepare food, I can't clean myself or anything else, I can't remember things, I can't walk or stand for more than few minutes without collapsing. I can't shop, I can't unpack groceries or pick things out of cupboards. I can't take my medication, pay bills or leave the house without full assistance from someone else. None of this qualifies me for 4 points in any criteria. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: About £13,000. Most of that is PIP going but a chunk is also having to continue to pay for essentials out of my husband's income. He works full time but his earnings will be effected by having to provide for anything I need or have covered for household expenses. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I can't do normal every day things without getting very unwell. A work coach would want to help me without understanding the limitations and constraints from my condition. If a DWP Assessor doesn't understand the impact and won't score me fairly we can't expect a Work Coach to have any better knowledge to really help me. I don't believe I am able to be helped into work - if I was I would be doing it already. I'm not lacking motivation or willingness. I am lacking function and capability. We are all lacking employers who want to hire people who can work an hour here or there when able fully remotely. Those jobs hardly exist and if they do they are not ringfenced for people like me. |
Anything else to tell us: These proposals punish people who cannot do anything to change their situation & just strips us of any independence or hope. It also punishes the family who care for us and cuts into their wages making us a financial burden. And not forgetting the companies, goods and services who PIP and ESA claimants spend their money with - they will feel a hit in their income and businesses too. |
