| Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I can’t wash below the waist and can’t brush my hair on the top I have acute pain and intense burning all over my body especially in my hands and feet even moving a piece of clothing on my body hurts but I won’t qualify for the living component! I am incontenant both types |
| Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: It’s will take away the living component which is a great deal of money I think it will half my pip so I will get around a £400 loss, but that not all i will loss I will use my self worth and dignity it’s bad enough feeling this way and not having much in life this money helps me be independent and not put on my family to much! |
| Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I sleep most of time, I am in agony, my anxiety is through the roof, I suffer with brain fog and pain all day I can’t concentrate on important things in life let alone handle a job as well, I wouldn’t keep any job that’s if they take me on in the first place, what person is genuinely going to hire me when I have no bowel or bladder control, I can’t lift stand or reach the floor! However I will lose the enhanced rate for living component how is that right! |
| Anything else to tell us: This idea that people can just work no matter there health conditions is ridiculous and ill thought out, no employer is going to be able to keep any of us in work, they also will pick healthy individuals for these jobs over sick people, the whole point of the current point system, is that it be overall points it should stay that way! If you look just at my situation and put it before anyone including Reeves I think she’d agree I am unemployable anywhere! But she’s expecting me and many others to live with £400 less whilst agreeing I can’t work which is obvious, I need help washing and dressing but not as much as getting four points as that means I can’t wash at all so washing my chest and tummy rules me out it’s completely ridiculous! Please wake up and stand up for those who can’t do that themselves especially MPs you are the only ones actually able to do something about this so please act! |
