Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I struggle with getting out of bed, I have fibromyalgia fog, I struggle with walking and standing, cooking a meal for myself, showering and washing my hair and extremities. I cannot clean my house or do the washing. I cannot lift things due to anklosing spondylitis and arthritis in my knees, ankles wrists, neck and hands. I have depression and anxiety and struggle relating to others and having relationships. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I will lose my motorbility car and consequently my independence and this will make my loneliness, anxiety and depression worse. I will become suicidal due to not being able to get out of my bungalow. I cannot walk to the bus stop and would not be able to afford to book a taxi to go to Doctors or hospital appointments. I cannot work and my counsellor has said he can see me working for no.morw than 2 hours a week. I am not reliable due to the unpredictability of Fibromyalgia and fibromyalgia fog. I have lost Jobs in the past because I had too much time off ill and could not go in every day. I am prone to Chest infections because of my asthma which means more time off work . I cannot learn or remember things and I for things very easily so it is impossible for me to find gainful employment. I cannot stand for a long time and even sitting is uncomfortable. I would need an ergonomic chair and employers are not happy to pay out the extra money to employ me. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: As I said before, I am not reliable, a cannot stand for very long, I cannot lift anything. I would need and ergonomic chair, I cannot remember or learn. I often suffer from chest infection and other ill health needing time off. I couldn't get to work because I would no longer have a car and I am not afford a taxi or go on the bus because I could not walk to the bus stop. |
Anything else to tell us: I am obese and I am trying to lose weight with Slimming World but even if I do continue to lose weight it won't affect my health which is deteriorating. I have lost three and a half stone and the cost of living makes buying fresh fruit and vegetables difficult. Healthy food is more expensive. There are not enough jobs available for those already unemployed in this county I cannot move to another area because rent wouldn't cost much more for me live elsewhere. I would have been at work if it was possible to do so. I can't afford to heat my property and feed myself as well as keep my bills paid. I didn't ask to have all of these conditions or to be ill but this government wants to penalise me for being disabled and claiming pip. |
