Nickname: Tom tom |
Age: 38 |
Main health condition: Both physical and mental health |
Main conditions that affect daily living: Functional neurological disorder, chronic fatigue syndrome, cyclothymia |
Rate of PIP daily living component: Standard |
4 point descriptor score: No |
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: Possible - my condition is deteriorating but it all depends on how they see my conditions. I'd actually expect to get higher award |
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Cooking, cleaning, socialising, shopping, getting around/mobility |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: If I don't score 4 or more points in one section I'd lose the daily living part and the new health element so that could be around £600pcm maybe more |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I work part time. But am concerned I will be forced to work more hours or get full time work |
Anything else to tell us: Whilst I agree with tightening welfare (not just disability) i think it is wrong to change the criteria to score at least 4 points as someone's condition might be less severe than others, but if you have multiple conditions, there are more, although maybe less severe, symptoms. Which can be just as bad. |
