Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I am unable to wash below the waist, my hair, they sides of my body, my lower legs and feet. I am unable to prepare or cook due to mobility issues, breathlessness I cannot stand for more than a minute or 2 need crutches to walk and can manage a few steps, I cannot bend or carry anything Need help to manage incontinence, taking medication managing insulin and diabetes |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: All of my standard award for daily living £72 weekly, my ability to pay for a cleaner a window cleaner a dog walker and my carers - i will loose my ability to live independently and will need to move into a Nursing home. I will loose my 2 little dogs - my only piece of happiness in this cruel existance. It will be devastating |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I don't even know where to begin, I can barely manage currently i rely on someone else to help me do the most basic of tasks, I am fairly resilient but I feel this ebbing away from me under the threat of these changes and for the first time in almost 30 years I feel an overwhelming sense of doom and depression is biting at my heals - socially my anxiety is at its highest level in years. |
Anything else to tell us: These proposals will ensure I will loose my independence and any kind of life, they will increase my costs to the taxpayer and pressures on an already over stretched NHS. My cleaner, dog walkers and carer will loose thier jobs. I feel overwhelmed and terrified in equal measure. |
