Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Personal care ie washing hair, showering. Housework, Garden/outside maintenance (I pay a gardener). Standing for any length of time to prepare and cook food, I survive on snacks and ready meals. This is mostly down to crashing fatigue and post exertion malaise. I tackle tasks when and if I feel able to. I live alone so no one to help. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: Approx £350 per month, which is a lot of money to me. Will greatly impact my standard of living. Wont be able to pay someone to maintain my garden or anyone to make my life easier(all things that i was able to do for myself before i became too ill to do so) Correct me if im wrong but isnt that what PIP is supposed to be used for? . I am stressed to the max about this, which in turn impacts massively on my health and wellbeing. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I have more 'bad days' than good. I also suffer from 'Brain Fog' which makes me unusually forgetful, some days I just can't get out of bed, and others I can barely make it to the sofa. I worked up until I could physically work no more due to my health. I was becoming more and more unreliable to my employer having to phone in sick at short notice and take a lot of time off due to 'flares' in Fibromyalgia and CFS. No amount of 'support from a work coach' can help me now as I have to take each day as it comes. |
Anything else to tell us: I am disgusted that the government has targeted genuine disabled people and labelled us as 'scroungers' . Do they honestly think that we don't want to work? That we relish the limits of our bodies and minds and we actually enjoy living trapped inside bodies/minds that greatly restrict us from living in the 'real world' . I have worked all my life right up until I could work no longer and it fills me with great sadness...Stop punishing us, we have been punished enough! The government should look elsewhere to recoup funds, ideally themselves! Stop MPS expenses and higher taxes for the mega rich! |
