Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I developed epilepsy "out of nowhere" in my early 40s. Focal Seizures that sometimes lead to focal unaware and tonic clonic seizures with unconsciousness and loss of bladder control. This causes deep anxiety, and prevents me from leaving my home. I have injured myself falling and as such do not cook or bathe (I shower with support). I have developed severe OCD due to my memory loss having caused me to flood my kitchen etc. so CBT therapy had nor helped. I am depressed often and have considered suicide. |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: With daily standard and enhanced mobility, if my PIP was completely cut I would lose around £500 per month. Without PIP I would not be able to work at all. With PIP, I can work part time remotely, which helps me manage my health and pay my NI and tax and contribute to the economy. I have been able to adapt my home to improve my safety. It helps me secure appropriate transport to attend appointments which are only available at a hospital over 50 miles from my home. It has saved my life. I worked for 25 years full time in the NHS prior to getting ill. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: Na |
