Main conditions that affect daily living: Crumbling ankle awaiting surgery. Heart failure, AFrib. Chronic sinusitis
Rate of PIP daily living component: Standard
4 point descriptor score: No
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: Unlikely
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Walking , breathlessness is now acute . Washing Abd cooking are becoming a lot more difficult. I’m an OAP and disabled will be asking for cares Abd mobility scooter probably within two years. Considering shelters accommodation in the near future if I can’t get the current pip or enhanced mobility
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: All of the DLA about £300 4 wkly
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I used to work in retailing I did consider a checkout operator role but the four companies I approached all said the John Lewis, marks, Sainsbury’s and Tesco love to have me. But with my heart condition I would be a liability on there insurance and they couldn’t and wouldn’t be willing to take the risk
Anything else to tell us: I was diagnosed with heart failure when I was 57 and although my last employer keep my job open for two years in the hope I would return my condition got worse . Even the DWP said I shouldn’t have been dismissed on medical grounds without the chance to at least try it. But now being an OAP and disabled there is no hope.
