Main conditions that affect daily living: Heart failure, cardiomyopathy, Atrial fibrillation, stroke, COPD, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Arthritis, frozen shoulder |
Rate of PIP daily living component: Standard |
4 point descriptor score: No |
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: Although I have limited mobility & score 12 points for this, I have only scored 3 points on one descriptor in my last reevaluation . |
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I have problems breathing, I struggle with fatigue and pain from my co-morbidities. This makes everyday tasks extremely difficult. My cardiologist stated ‘cannot carry out day to day tasks’ however DWP assessor ‘decided’ I could do so with help of aids and appliances! |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I will lose my contribution based ESA, my PIP, my disability from UC and my husbands Carers allowance Total approx £1171 a month. That is without the UC disability amount. I would starve. |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: To be quite candid, I would be a liability to any employer. I cannot concentrate (loss of white matter due to my stroke). I am constantly fatigued and sleep during the day. I am in pain which causes lack of motivation and concentration. I would catch any virus and be unable and unfit to work. I would not employ me. I would be unable to give my employer the standard of work which they would expect and require. |
Anything else to tell us: I believe this has nothing to do with helping disabled people into employment. It is a cost cutting exercise, no more, no less |
